General Configuration

The illustration below provides a simple configuration of a NetX infrastructure designed to establish a Small Data Network, explicitly focusing on Company A's data centre integration. This configuration incorporates vital components, including a Private NetX Smart Chain, a Leviatom Network, and a Behemotum Network. Crucially, all these components are equipped with Trias Layer ‘-1’ services, ensuring their connectivity to the global Trias Layer ‘-1’ in the public domain.

The Private NetX Smart Chain hosts Data Process Contracts, defined by Company A, to fulfil specific data processing requirements. These contracts are responsible for executing data processing tasks. When more intricate processing logic is needed, the Data Process Contract can engage Off-Chain Computing Services deployed on Leviatom. The Data Process Contract can also call upon the Data Process Service hosted on Behemotum for secure and private big data processing. This integrated approach empowers Company A to process its data efficiently and securely within the Small Data Network, leveraging both on-chain and off-chain resources to meet its data processing needs.

Leviatom, as a decentralised computing infrastructure, orchestrates decentralised computing nodes, manages micro-services, and establishes consensus mechanisms for diverse computational tasks. It serves as a trusted execution extension for Company A's private cloud. While Company A deploys its applications on its private cloud, those micro-services requiring external validation are deployed on Leviatom. Multiple instances of micro-services responsible for the trusted part of the application run on Leviatom, with their results compared by the Data Processing Contract, which forms a consensus on result integrity. Leviatom's deployment on top of the Trias Layer ‘-1’ ensures that software integrity and properties of micro-services are rigorously considered.

Behemotum, in contrast, operates as a decentralised privacy-preserving extensive data service network. Its primary objective is to ensure the secure and confidential processing of large datasets, employing advanced privacy-preserving techniques. In this context, Behemotum is a cache pool for accessing Company A's private data. A portion of Company A's data is offloaded to Behemotum, with data processing logic implemented as its Data Processing Service. This service provides processed results to invoke Data Processing Contracts without exposing the original private data, enhancing privacy and security measures.

Beyond the confines of Company A's infrastructure, a public NetX Smart Chain takes centre stage as the primary hub for communication and data interoperability. Each node within this NetX Smart Chain is equipped with the Trias Layer ‘-1’ protocols, pivotal in establishing the global web-of-trust. Additionally, nodes are dedicated solely to running the Trias Layer ‘-1’ protocols, known as Layer ‘-1’ nodes. These nodes expand the Trusted Base to encompass all connected chains and infrastructures, providing a broader foundation of trust. Maintenance and operation of the public NetX Smart Chain are entrusted to community members, which can comprise individuals or companies specialising in providing such services. This collaborative effort ensures the robustness and continuity of the public chain, facilitating seamless communication, data sharing, and trust-building across the NetX ecosystem.

Company A's Layer ‘-1’ establishes connections with the public Trias Layer ‘-1’, facilitating several essential functions within the NetX ecosystem. Firstly, this connection allows for the accessibility and verification of metadata associated with Company A's services deployed on Leviatom and Behemotum. The public Trias Layer ‘-1’ nodes can inspect and verify the metadata, ensuring the integrity and legitimacy of these services. Furthermore, the public Trias Layer ‘-1’ also verifies the integrity of Leviatom, Behemotum, and the Private NetX Smart Chain. By acting as a trustworthy external entity, the public Layer ‘-1’ enhances these components' overall security and reliability.

Additionally, a bridge is established between the Private NetX Smart Chain and the Public NetX Smart Chain. This bridge enables smart contracts deployed on either chain to interact and collaborate seamlessly. This interoperability enhances the functionality and versatility of the NetX ecosystem, allowing for the exchange of data, services, and transactions between private and public chains.
